'Truecaller' dials Avian WE for PR mandate

Popular caller ID and spam blocking app Truecaller has hired Avian WE to handle their communications mandate.
Genesis BCW previously handled communications for the Swedish firm.
The app's webpage says it has 150 million active users globally. Last year, truecaller's CEO Alan Mamedi, announced that the app had crossed over 100 million active users in India, making the country its' largest customer base.
Mamdei also said that the growth in India is coming from integrated features such as Instant and flash messaging, video calling and payments.
Earlier this month a meme about a new Truecaller feature that alerts users in advance to the identity of the person calling gained good traction, it was even tweeted by the official Truecaller handle.
