Vidisha Chatterjee joins as communications director for WhatsApp in India

Vidisha Chatterjee, former head of communications-Colgate India, has moved as director communications for WhatsApp in India. She will the first communications director for the messaging giant in India.
Chatterjee has had an interesting and varied career in communications and media. Starting with a sales stint at Start TV India, she went to work with BBC and ESPN Sports. In 2007 she was the national programmes director for all the radio channels under the India Today Group. this gave her an early and intensive experience in the field of audio programming.
For communications she has worked as managing partner with Genesis BCW, as GM-client operations and strategies at H+K Strategies. At her last appointment she handled the entire range of corporate communication for category leader Colgate India including brand building, reputation and crisis communication.
