Sanitary towel maker Whisper’s, “ Touch the Pickle” campaign has won the first 2015 Cannes Glass Grand Prix for gender equality. The campaign was devised in 2014 to remove old-fashioned taboos against menstruating women. While the campaign was done by BBDO, Madison PR handled the PR outreach. “ Over 2.9 million women signed up for the “Touch the Pickle” last year and the campaign created a strong buzz around the issue.
The Glass Lions is a new set of awards launched at the 2015 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity to recognize gender equality. The award was created in partnership withLeanIn.Org, the organisation founded by Sheryl Sandberg to achieve true equality.”
