Reliance cancels PR contract with Ashwani Singla backed Reputare

Less than a year after Reliance Industries Limited hired reputation firm ‘Reputare’, the contract has been called off. Reputare is backed by Ashwani Singla who also set up reputation advisory, 'Astrum' in May last year. Reputare’s responsibilities, according to market news, included handling the launch of Reliance’s big ticket telecom initiative –Reliance Jio.
Credible market sources have verified the news of the contract being called off to PRmoment India. Some professionals from the Reputare team are said to have been absorbed into the Reliance communications team
PRmoment India also reached out to Ashwani Singla for confirmation, but Singla refused to comment saying that he has never announced that Reputare was handling Reliance so the question of confirming or denying the news does not arise.
A follow up email to Astrum has not elicited any response so far. Singla is a PR and reputation veteran with leadership stints at Genesis Burson –Marsteller and Penn Schoen Berland.
